The Interpretation of the Bible

The Christadelphians believe that reaching the saving truth is through a correct understanding of the Bible.  The approach therefore to those showing interest is to suggest that they “read the Bible for themselves” whilst seeking to steer them to the same conclusions from a position of intellectual advantage.  Gaining the knowledge necessary to test whether Christadelphian claims do in fact match up to what is written in the Bible in fact is an extremely difficult and complex task and like churches which take similar positions is why it ends up heavily intellectual in focus.

This section is designed so that it can be read as a series.  It starts by looking at the Foundational Claims of the Community and continues with a consideration of the basic idea of Independence of Thought that is necessary if the Bible alone (as Christadelphians believe) is all we have got and the limits to the ability of many folk to do what is suggested.  It then examines some Necessary Considerations about Scripture and The Importance of Interpretation before looking at The Christadelphian Approach to Balancing the Bible.
